Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin

This wine comes from vineyards located on the Medici hills of Carmignano. It is produced mainly from Sangiovese grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon and small percentages of other red grape varieties, all harvested by hand and carefully selected. The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, with a 6-month period in Allier tonneaux. This is followed by a further 6 months of ageing in the bottle. The Riserva designation can only be awarded three years after the harvest. It is characterised by its deep ruby red colour, softness, balance and good structure. It is therefore ideal with braised and stuffed meats. To fully enjoy all its qualities, it is recommended to uncork it at least an hour before serving and serve at a temperature of 18°C.
Aromas: Ripe black cherry, balsamic, aromatic herbs, dried red flowers.
